Shirley Aheimer

On angels wings Shirley Aheimer, 85, was carried peacefully to Heaven June 9, 2023 after a yearlong courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of 63 years to the late John Aheimer.  Loving and proud mother of  Jacqueline (Ken) Stadterman, John Aheimer (Cindy), Glen (Kelly (Aheimer), Diana (Michael) Baca, Katherine (Donald) Duritza, Timothy (Karen) Aheimer, and Charlotte (David) Sutton.  Shirley received so much joy from her 14 grandchildren,16 great-grandchildren and looked forward to the one great-grandchild on the way. Also survived by her brother Walter West and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.  No visitation.  A mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 3, 2023, at 10 AM at St Matthew’s Parish, Holy Spirit Church Millvale.  Donations in Shirley’s honor were requested to Family Hospice-Cantebury  700 Bowerhill Road, Pgh, PA 15243 or to the charity of your choice.
