Robert C. Schwab

On Friday, July 24, 2026, age 97, formerly of Shaler Twp, originally of Millvale. Beloved Husband of 72 years to the late Anna Marie Schwab. Loving Father of Carol L. (Robert) Hesz and Robert P. (the late Diana) Schwab. Loving Grandfather of Sydney (Aaron) Janusey and Bo (Tori) Schwab. Great-grandfather of James and Charlie Janusey and Tripp and Palmer Diana Schwab. Brother of the late Edward Schwab. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and Friends received Monday 3-7 PM at the Hahn FH & Cremation Services Inc., 123 North Avenue, Millvale. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10 AM at St. Matthew's Parish, Holy Spirit Church. Robert was a Korean War veteran who served in the Air Force from December 1951 to 1955 at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois. He was a technical training instructor who taught airmen how to pack a parachute. He always joked that if it didn't work, to come back and see him. He also drove a tractor-trailer for over 40 years. In his later years, his biggest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family suggests donations to the Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard, 945 Washington Boulevard, Pgh, PA 15206. The organization offers help with transitional housing, wellness, and career development.
