Robert Stephen Karlik, age 90, of Cranberry Township, PA passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Born on January 17, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA, Robert was one of six children to the late Frank J. and Margaret Karlik. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, attending church, and instilling his love of model trains with his grandsons. Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired mechanical/electrical engineer who worked at Dravo Corporation for over 20 years.
Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carole Bowers Karlik; two daughters, Ann (Jay) Hahn and Jean (Marc) Dolan;eight grandchildren Lance, Joshua, Bradley, and Victoria Hahn and Trevor, Parker, Maeve and Gage Dolan. Robert was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph (Kate), Frank (Esther), Stephen , William (Alice) and his sister Mary (Herbert). Survived by his Sister-in-law, Caroline. Robert loved his many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Avenue; Cranberry Township, PA 16066. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 3, 2023 at Divine Grace Catholic Church (St. Ferdinand’s) 2535 Rochester Rd.; Cranberry Township.
