Maryann Rosenberry, born July 18, 1950, in Millvale, Pennsylvania, was a woman whose heart overflowed with kindness, generosity, and love. She passed away on May 4, 2026, surrounded by the family she cherished, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will be remembered always.
Maryann was a devoted mother of Melissa Coyle (Rick Carothers) and David Smith, and a proud grandmother of Tatumn and Ethan Coyle. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Rosenberry, and by her parents, George and Mathilda "Hoover" Smith, whom she held close in her heart.
She is survived by her loving siblings, Sally Daley, George Smith, and Janet Ashbaugh, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories with her, along with many nieces and nephews. Maryann also held a special place in her heart for he dear friend, Rick Kudamik, and for Danial DeAugustine, who remained dear to her always.
Maryann had a gentle spirit and a remarkable ability to see the good in everyone she met. She was always ready with a kind word, a listening ear, or a warm smile. Her love for people was genuine and effortless.
She found happiness in life's simple pleasures, sipping her tea, listening to music, enjoying a good fried shrimp dinner, and sharing family lunches at Rachel's Roadhouse. She also had a lifelong love of elephants, finding comfort and joy in the beautiful collection she gathered over the years. Each piece reflected her appreciation for their strength, gentleness, and wisdom, qualities she carried within herself.
To honor her gentle nature, her family shares this poem:
In every cup of tea you sipped, in every song you knew, your gentle heart shone softly on, in all you said and do. And though you've gone where peace is deep, your warmth remains with us to keep.
Maryann's memory will forever be a reminder of the beauty of kindness, the strength of love, and the impact of a generous heart.
Family and friends will be received at Hahn Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 123 North Avenue, Millvale, on Wednesday from 11:30 AM- 3 pm blessing service at 2:30 PM.
