On Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 97, she slipped the surly bonds of earth and touched the face of God. Mary Jane lived in both Shaler Township and Millvale. She was the wife of the late James Seelhorst Cooper. Mother of Mark (Callie) Cooper, Dianne Stebler, and the late Nathan (Kathy) Cooper. Proud Grandmother of Michael (Shue Ping Hsu) Jenkins, Kimberley Jenkins, and Emily Cooper. The great-grandmother of Alexander Jenkins. Per Mary Jane's wishes, there will be no visitation, and services will be private. Mary Jane has been involved with the Millvale Meals on Wheels program since its inception in 1971. She has served in various capacities, including Director, cook, office manager, kitchen helper, fundraiser, and delivery driver, among others. She was also very active at her church, Christ Lutheran Church in Millvale. While there, she sang in the choir, served as a Sunday School teacher, and assisted in the St. After-school program. She also helped prepare and set up for the Church's fund-raising dinners. Mary Jane was also a member of the Cherry City Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary, as well as an avid gardener. The family suggests donating to Elfinwild Meals Ministry, 3200 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116.
