Martha A. (Murphy) Flack

Martha Agnes (Murphy) Flack, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10th at the Harmer Village Skilled Nursing Facility in Cheswick. Martha was born in Lawrenceville, the daughter of the late Mary Hochdorfer Murphy and Thomas Francis Murphy. She attended St. Mary's Elemantary School and St. John the Baptist High School, both in Lawrenceville. She worked at St. Francis Hospital as a medical stenographer for many years. In her later years, she was a bus chaperone for hearing impaired children. She was united in marriage with William John (Bill) Flack in 1953, Bill passed away in December of 1995. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Bill, sisters Dorothy Flack and Catherine Kalinyak and brothers;Thomas, Raymond, Cornelius, Regis, George, and Arnold and daughter-in-law Ruthann Flack. She is survived by her children; Bill (Sara) Flack of Venice, Fl., daughter  Lynn (Terry) Thomas of Glenshaw, and Glenn Flack of Tucson, AZ. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Christopher Flack, Erin Doll, Matthew Flack, Melissa Killkelly, Morgan Thomas, Ryan Thomas, and Jason Flack: six great grandchildren and several neices and nephews. Martha loved cooking for picnics and parties with her family and friends. She will be  remembered for her love of her family, her Irish sense of humor, and her delicious chicken noodle soup. Friends received Friday 12 Noon until time of Service at 2 PM at the Hahn FH & Cremation Services Inc. 123 North Avenue, Millvale.
