James Landman Obituary

James E. Landman, 83, of Shaler Twp., passed away suddenly but peacefully in his home on Friday June 5, 2020. He was born on July 20, 1936 and is the son of the late William and Annabelle (Freeman) Landman. He was a self-employed carpet installer and worked up until December of last year. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church Millvale and for many years a member of the Cherry City Volunteer Fire Company. His interests included golf, cruising, travelling to California wine country, horseback riding and playing Nutsy. He was a Pittsburgh Steeler fanatic and in his time was the “Dance King” of weddings and the West View Park Danceland where he met his beloved wife Angela Battista Landman, who preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons, James Landman, (Jesse) of Santa Rosa California and Kenneth Landman (Dawn), Shaler Twp.; two grandchildren, Kenneth Landman(Courtney), Blawnox and Ashley Van de Loo (Bastian), Robinson Twp. as well as step-grandchildren Peter Mudar, III (Caitlin), Matthew Mudar, and Kaylee Mudar all of Plum Borough; Great-grandpap to Jaxson Landman and Julian Van de Loo and baby girl Van de Loo due in October, Sister, Sarah “Sally” Hewitt, Pittsburgh. Deceased brothers William, Russell, Walter “Buddy”, and Robert; deceased sisters Annabelle, Helen, and Carole. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Monday, June 8th from 1 p.m. -8 p.m. at The HAHN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, Inc. 123 North Avenue Millvale, Pa. 15209. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 8th at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 608 Farragut Street Millvale, Pa. 15209. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to Cherry City Fire Department in memory of James Landman.
