Georgene Szymanski Obituary

As we reflect on the extraordinary life of our beloved mother, Georgene Szymanski (Ulrich), our hearts are filled with both sorrow for her passing and immense gratitude for the joy she brought into the world. Georgene was, without question, the unwavering cornerstone of her family, a true caregiver whose boundless love and strength touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She approached life with an infectious enthusiasm, loving deeply and unconditionally, and always quick with a laugh that could brighten any room. Her passions were evident in every facet of her life. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she poured her heart into being a devoted wife to the late Louis, a loving mother to Louis Jr., (Joanne), Kimberly Frollini (Timothy and dog Heidi), a proud Gram to Rebecca, Thomas, and Emily, and a doting GiGi to Everett and Warren. Beyond her immediate family, she was an older protective sister to the late Helen Brueckner, Joyce Weber, and surviving Cheryl Warneke. A cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a dearest friend, particularly to her best friend, Jackie Weikel. Georgene had an adventurous spirit, fondly remembered for riding with her beloved Louis on their Harley, creating unforgettable memories on the open road. Her travels to sunny Florida were a highlight. Her favorite pastimes: visiting zoos, soaking up the warmth of the sun on sandy beaches, and enjoying sweet treats at ice cream parlors. She also relished the excitement of bus trips to the casino, always ready for a bit of fun. Her legendary sweet tooth was well-known, as was her enjoyment of a cold beer or a glass of wine shared in good company. In her final journey, the compassionate care provided by the dedicated professionals brought immense comfort. Our family's deep appreciation goes to Diane Cares For You, who gave the gift of Kam, our mom’s aide, and the Anova Palliative Care nurse and therapists, Ali, Matt, and Liz, for their thoughtful support. Equally, the Anova Hospice nurses – the spirited Amy, Tiffany, and Kelly – demonstrated an unwavering devotion to their patients and a remarkable commitment to educating and supporting our family, for which we are all truly grateful. Georgene lived a life brimming with purpose, laughter, and an unparalleled capacity for love. Her memory will forever be a beacon of strength, joy, and profound devotion to family. She will be deeply missed, but her vibrant spirit will undoubtedly continue to inspire all who had the privilege of sharing in her remarkable journey. Friends received Wednesday 2-8 PM at the Hahn FH & Cremation Services Inc., 123 North Avenue, Millvale. Blessing Service Thursday at 11 AM.
