Florence H. Kress Jr. (Pappy), a proud, devoted family man, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Pappy was the beloved Husband of the late Kathryn "Kitty" C. Kress, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, dedication, and family. He was a devoted father to Judith A. (Dan) Elter, Joseph R. Kress, John P. (Janet) Kress, and the late Florenz H. Kress III. He was a proud and loving grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, cherishing every moment spent with his family. Brother of the late Jerome "Buck Kress, Henry (Rosemarie) Kress, late Edward (late Judy) Kress, Richard (late Lois) Kress, late Joan Hanselman, Claire (Frank) Perry, late William (late Janet) Kress, late Charlie "Chipper" (Sue) Kress, Mike Kress, late Joseph (Sue) Kress, and Denise (Tony) Fedell. Flo began his career serving in the United States Navy. Following his honorable service, he joined the United States Postal Service, where he dedicated the remainder of his career until his retirement. Above all, Pappy will be remembered for his Catholic faith, his passion for hunting and fishing, and his love for his family. He is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife, Kitty, his son, Flo, his grandson Luke, and his granddaughter, Kayla. His family finds comfort in knowing he lived a full and meaningful life, surrounded by those he loved most. Friends received Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Hahn FH & Cremation Services Inc., 123 North Avenue, Millvale. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, 10 AM, St. Matthew Parish, Holy Spirit Church.
