Bertha Hartung

Bertha K. (Suchma) Hartung

Bertha was born on March 15, 1923.  The daughter of Gottlieb and Kathryn (Farrell) Suchma.  She passed peacefully at her home on September 8, 2023 at the age of 100. She was lifelong resident of Millvale.

Along with her parents she was  preceded in death by her loving husband William L. Hartung and her brothers Edward G. Suchma, Joseph G. Suchma and Paul Suchma.

She is survived by a daughter Pam Buttersnitz and her husband Ray. Sister-in-law of Anna Richie and beloved “Aunt Bert” to many loving and caring nieces and nephews. 

Bertha was was a lifelong member of Holy Spirit Church (Formerly St. Anthony Church) of St. Matthew Parish in Millvale.  She was a member of Christian Mothers group.  She was an alumni of Mt. Alvernia High School
