Arthur J. Tomko, 77, of Rock Hill, S.C., previously of North Huntingdon and Glassport, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, surrounded by family. Art was the youngest child of Michael E. Tomko and Joan L. (Sikorski) Tomko. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Geraldine (Sitko) Tomko; seven children, daughter, Christine “Tina” (John) Harper, of Allison Park, PA., sons, Michael (Melissa), of Clover, S.C., Daniel (Monica), of Woodstock, Ga., Joseph (Keri), of Easton, Pa., Alan (Lindsay), of Export, Pa., Richard (Ann), of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Jonathan (Kelly), of Ellwood City, Pa. and 18 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christian, and Katie Harper; Joshua, Alina, Michael, Sarah, Paulina, Samuel, Kayla, Gabriel, Patrick, Melanie, Lillian, Isaac, Dalton, Vivian and Luke Tomko. He is also survived by sister, Sylvia Spanovich; and sister-in-law, Norma Tomko. He was preceded in death by parents; and brother, Richard M. Tomko. He attended night school at Penn State University and graduated the final class of Carnegie Institute of Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering. Art was active coaching soccer and involved in Boy Scouts, supporting his children's many activities. Funeral arrangements are handled by HAHN FH & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 123 North Ave., Millvale. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, in the funeral home, and beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23. until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at noon, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 3058 Brereton St., Pittsburgh, PA 15219 (Polish Hill neighborhood). PA covid-19 rules: masks must be worn, social distancing and a limit of 25 people at the funeral home at any given time. Immaculate Heart of Mary Church capacity is 250 people. Due to the pandemic, we understand if you opt to not visit in person and choose to honor Art in your own way. There is no obligation to attend, especially if it would put your health at risk. Please use your best judgment.
