On Saturday, March 4, 2023, age 83, formerly of Millvale. Beloved Husband of 61 years to Dolores M. "Graswick" Hunkele. Loving Father of Mary Ann (Brian) Bove, Catherine (Thomas) Ficarri, and David (Lisa) Hunkele. Proud Grandpap of Michael (Carley Chavara) Bove, Lizzie (Stephen) Lee, Maria (Emil) Berbakov, Bridget Bove, Daniel and Joseph Ficarri, Lauren, Morgan, and Kara Hunkele. Great-grandfather of Skyler Lee. Brother of James (Jeanne) Hunkele, Mary Schall, Carol (Robert) Santucci, Theodore Jr. (Kathleen) Hunkele and Linda (Ronald) Filardi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parentsTheodore Sr. (Madeline) Hunkele and Donald (Carole) Hunkele. Robert lived a life of action, dedicating himself to serving his Church, family, and community particularly as a volunteer fireman for Millvale and North Hills Community Outreach. Robert worked in the automotive parts industry his whole career for Joseph Moidel Company and then Wilcox Brothers. He brought ease to the lives of many of us and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
