Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Catherine Butera, Sister, Angeline Monteleone and Brother, Tony Butera. Richard was a Chemistry Professor at the University of Pittsburgh for over 50 years. He also taught at the Governer's School at Carnegie Mellon University for the past 10 years. Richard served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a very active member of Holy Spirit Church and the VFW Post #118.
