John L. "Jack" Cavanaugh Sr., 89, of Millvale, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Audrey J. Kalaway Cavanaugh. He was the loving father of Jack Cavanaugh Jr., Cindy (Ron) Siatkosky, Lenny (Lori) Cavanaugh, Bonnie (Ken Sr.) Kocher and Karl Cavanaugh; devoted grandfather of Ron (Korrey) and Rich (Sarah) Siatkosky, Meghan and Abigail Cavanugh, Kevin Kocher, Kayt and Cory Eberz and the late Ken Kocher Jr.; great-grandfather of Austin, Ava, Gavin and Colton; brother of Chuck "Cupcakes" Cavanaugh and the late Robert Cavanaugh Jr., James "Chink" Cavanaugh. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the HAHN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 123 North Ave., Millvale. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Spirit Church. Jack was an extremely active member of the Millvale community. He served as past president of council, former mayor, past commander of the VFW Post 118, a member of the Knights of Columbus, former owner of the Millvale Printing Company and the founder of Millvale Days.
