Husband of the late Teresa Bender. Father of John Bender and Patricia (Jim) Halterlein. Grandfather of Becka (Brian) Erjavac, Jessica Lang, and the late Adam Lang. Great Pap Pap of G., Paige, Peyton, Liam, Addi, Olivia, and Mia. Brother of Rose "Babe" Leymarie. Friends received Monday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Hahn FH & Cremation Services Inc. 123 North Avenue, Millvale. Services Tuesday 11 AM Ruthfred Lutheran Church 3401 South Park Rd Bethel Park, PA. Everyone please meet at the Church. John was a member of the Greatest Generation, having served in the Army. He was an avid fisherman and bowler. He enjoyed traveling on cruises.
