On Friday, December 9, 2016, age 92, of Allison Park, Beloved husband of 68 years to Edith A. Zimmerman. Father of Craig (Debra) Zimmerman, Marsha (Richard) Kruze, and Terry (Jim) Shand. Grandfather of Eric (Amy) Zimmerman, Lauren Zimmerman, Ryan Kruze, Adam(Lauren) Kruze, Dana (Joe) Hendrickson, Dallas Poe, and Eric Shand. 7 great grandchildren. Brother of Bertha Trdina, Harry Zimmerman, and the late Wilma Stumpf and Charles Zimmerman. Friends received Tuesday 2-8 pm at the Hahn FH & Cremation Services Inc. 123 North Ave, Millvale. Services Wednesday 11 am Christ Lutheran Church. Al started his career as a newspaper journalist and for 33 years was a professional fund raiser. He served in the Army during WWII and was a Bronze Star receipiant. He also received an Expert Infantrymans Badge. Al was in the Battle of the Buldge and helped to liberate Dachau concentration camp. He was Past President of Church Council at Christ Lutheran Church, and he sat on several boards within the Synod.
